Do You know Grand Canyon ??. yeah.. that’s one of the new
seven wonder in the world. It Located in the southwestern part of the Colorado
Plateau, the Grand Canyon predominantly lies in Arizona. Although there is much
to be experienced as one hikes down into the canyon, most visitors to the Grand
Canyon go there for the views it offers from its rim. The most crowded times of
the day are around sunrise and sunset, and the Grand Canyon is thronged by
visitors all through spring, summer and fall.
Its vastness is 217 mile long, and its widest spans over
17 miles across. It is not surprising that it has been designated one of seven
wonder of the world. The walls of the canyon are made of limestone, sandstone ,
lava and other rocks. As the day passes the rocks reflect different colours.
Many tourists come to the canyon just to watch the rocks change colour.
Cotton wood and willow trees grow at the bottom of the
canyon. Many varieties, of cactus grow here as well. The canyon is also home to
many animals, such as bob cats, coyotes, kangaroo, and deers. The Grand Canyon
is home to 75 different species of mammals, 50 species of reptiles, 25 species
of fish, and 300 species of birds.
Temperatures at the Grand Canyon may exceed 100 degrees
Fahrenheit in summer and below 0 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter, with sudden
bouts of heavy rain and violent storms in late summer. As you hike downwards,
the temperature rises to over 30 degrees higher as compared to its rim. About
